Post outcomes only, all other posts will be deleted
Tutorial 1:
Textures are set on normal in the preview for better understanding, note that you should always delete parts that don't fit.
I will start with a basic signature and will try to make more and more advanced stuff later
So here's the tut:
Make a new canvas, size 480x150 and fill it with the color 252525
Put your player stock, resize it (holding shift) and position it well
Delete some parts of the stock so it looks better
Set that layer to color dodge
Crostyle tutorials I296378_1
Duplicate that layer two times
The first copy: desaturate it, set it on screen and move it a bit to the left or right (you can go to edit>free transform and move it with the arrow keys), and finally set that layer on 20% opacity
The second copy: normal, 30% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296380_2
Apply texture 1, resize it and desaturate, set it on screen 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296381_3
Apply texture 2, resize it, set it on multiply, 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296383_4
Now we will make our text, use the font Mesquite Std, white color and type the players name, set it on soft light 20% opacity
Duplicate that layer, move it just a bit to the left (you can go to edit>free transform and move it with the arrow keys), set it on overlay 100% opacity
Apply texture 3, resize it, set it on multiply, 40% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296384_5

Crostyle tutorials I296385_6
Add a sepia (or any other you like) photofilter and adjust the opacity
Now we need to apply more textures
Apply texture 4, resize it, set it on color burn, 30% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296390_7
You can add additional light to some parts with a soft white brush on overlay in a new layer with low opacity
Apply texture 5, resize it, set it on color dodge, 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296391_8
Apply texture 6, resize it, desaturate it, set it on color dodge, 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296392_9
Apply texture 7, resize it, desaturate it, set it on color dodge, 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296393_11
Apply texture 8, resize it, set it on multiply, 20% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296394_10
Apply texture 9, resize it, set it on color dodge, 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296396_12
Apply texture 10, resize it, desaturate it, set it on overlay, 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296400_13
You can add additional lighting by using a mid-dark gray soft brsuh in a new layer at relatively high opacity
Make a new layer and fill it with the color 4b4b4b, set it on lighten 30% opacity
You can add a small text, for example the players club name under his name, use some simple font, make it white and set it to overlay
Crostyle tutorials I296402_14
Optional step, sometimes it doesn't look good so if you aren't sure you can skip it: make a new layer and apply your image, blur it (gaussian blur, 5-8px), set the layer on lighten and delete what you don't like (I've deleted all except a small part over the text)
Crostyle tutorials I296406_15
Apply texture 11, resize it, desaturate it, set it on color dodge, 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I296407_16
Make a new layer, use a big white soft brush and brush easily at the top, leave it on normal
Make a new layer and put a gradient that fits with the color on works, I used yellow to red, on color, 5% opacity
Add your name in the corner, keep it on low opacity
Adjust the brightness and contrast, don't use to hard settings
Add a border and sharpen it (go to edit>fade sharpen>about 50%)
You're done, here is the outcome
Crostyle tutorials I296412_17final
Here's the pack including the original stock, the font, textures, txt version of the tut and the psd:

Post outcomes only and don't rip, thanks

Tutorial 2

I hope that my first tut helped you to understand some basic things which you will need to know for this more advanced tutorial
The next week I'll try to make a better sig than this one and so on, so let's start:
Just to remind you, all the textures are set on normal for better understanding
Make a new canvas, 500x200 and fill it with the color #252525 (or any dark gray you want)
Put texture 1 in a new layer and set it on color dodge and duplicate it two times
Desaturate the first copy, leave it on color dodge and set the opacity on 40%
Put the second copy on normal and set the opacity on 30%
Crostyle tutorials I301833_1
Put your render in a new layer and duplicate it 3 times:
First layer: normal 100%, color overlay (click two times on the render and look at the menu) with #252525 100%
Second layer: color dodge 100%
Third layer: screen 40%, desaturate
Fourth layer: normal 40%
Crostyle tutorials I301854_2
Now we need to add some text, we will use mesquite std which can be dowloaded in the tut pack at the bottom
Type the players name in white and put that layer on overlay 40%
Duplicate that layer, move it a bit to the left and set it on normal 100%
Crostyle tutorials I301855_3
Now we will add some textures
Add texture 2, desaturate, soft light 40%
Crostyle tutorials I301857_4
Add texture 3, make it blue (ctrl+u) multiply, 40%
Crostyle tutorials I301858_5
Add some blue photofilter (deep blue, cooling, cyan...) and adjust the brightness and contrast if needed
Use a big white soft brush and brush easily on the top
Add texture 4, blur it, make it blue and set it on color dodge
Crostyle tutorials I301859_6
Add texture 5, set it on multiply 80% and delete parts that you don't like
Crostyle tutorials I301860_7
Now you need to add texture 6 on color dodge 100%, it will be very difficult if you use another render, try to apply it so that it looks like that line goes around him, it's hard to explain, you get that with practice
Crostyle tutorials I301865_8
I've also added one minor text, some simple default font, fill 0%, stroke 2px white overlay, low opacity
Crostyle tutorials I301866_9
Add texture 7, linear burn 40%, this is very important cause all the textures after it will get that fire look
Crostyle tutorials I301867_10
Add texture 8, make it orange, color dodge 100%
Crostyle tutorials I301868_11
Add texture 9, delete everything except one small part which should be desaturated and on color dodge 100%
Crostyle tutorials I301869_12
Add texture 10, desaturate it, set it on color dodge 100%
Crostyle tutorials I301870_13
Add texture 11, desaturate it, set it on color dodge 100%
Crostyle tutorials I301871_14
Add texture 12 (couldn't find it so I had to patch it) color dodge 100%
Crostyle tutorials I301872_15
Add texture 13, color dodge 70%
Crostyle tutorials I301873_16
Add texture 14, deasturate it, put it on overlay 80%
Crostyle tutorials I301874_17
The placement of the next texture (15) could be difficult so look carefully, desaturate it, set it on overlay 50%
Crostyle tutorials I301875_18
Optional step for v2: make a new layer, set it on hue and brush with a white brush on the parts you want to be black-white
Crostyle tutorials I301884_19
Add a border and your nickname if you want and you're done
Final outcome:
Crostyle tutorials I301877_final
Please don't skip any step which may seem unimportant cause your outcome won't look good, if you don't understand any part don't hesitate to ask me

Tutorial 3

Today I will show you how to make a start for a signature:
Make a new canvas and fill it with #252525, dark gray
Put your stock, delete the edges, duplicate it 4 times
First layer: desaturate it (ctrl+shift+u) and set it on color dodge, like this:
Crostyle tutorials I337209_1
Second layer: color dodge, 30% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I337210_2
Third layer: color dodge, 60% opacity, desaturate it
Crostyle tutorials I337211_3
Fourth layer: lighten, 100% opacity, desaturate it
Crostyle tutorials I337212_4
Fifth layer: color dodge, 15%-30%, desaturate it and move it (edit>free transform, use arrow keys) a bit to the left or right
Crostyle tutorials I337213_5
Use a soft gray brush and brush on the parts that you want to lighten up, set that layer to color dodge 100% opacity, you can add more interesting brush, they don't have to be basic
Crostyle tutorials I337214_6
Now we should add 3 photofilters:
1. Deep yellow, 70% density
Crostyle tutorials I337215_7
2. Warming filter (81), 60% density
Crostyle tutorials I337216_8
3. Select color and use #ac7a33, 20% density
Crostyle tutorials I337217_9
Adjust the brightness and contrast, in this case we want small brightness (-48) and high contrast (+12)
Crostyle tutorials I337218_10
Make a new layer fill it with #363636 (gray) and set it on lighten, 100% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I337219_11
Make a new layer, apply your image, set it on color dodge, 80% opacity, duplicate that layer and set it on 25% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I337220_12
Apply texture 1, multiply, 100% opacity (color burn for a cleaner version)
Crostyle tutorials I337221_13
Apply texture 2, blur it, color dodge, 100% opacity, desaturate if you want
Crostyle tutorials I337222_14
Apply texture 3, desaturate it, color burn, 20% opacity
Crostyle tutorials I337223_15
Outcome:
Crostyle tutorials Ixxv9f
Now you only need to add a simple font and some texture work and you can get sig like this:
V1

V2
